OGBONNEYA KINGI KALU
Barr Ogbonneya Kingi Kalu, trained lawyer, human resource expert and businesswoman, is the Chairman/Publisher, The Sun Publishing Limited, Nigeria.
She has a degree in Law and an MSc in Finance from the University of Buckingham, United Kindom. She has more than five years experience crafting and implementing business initiatives.
An entrepreneur spanning across various industries, Barr Kalu had previously worked in the banking sector, in the role of Human Resource Manager. She has built and ran several successful businesses and is the Vice-Chairman of Sun Heavens Hotels and Resorts, a luxury hotel with outlets in Lagos, Abuja and Umuahia, among others.
To fulfil her desire to empower women and contribute in giving succor to the less privileged, Barr Kalu works with the Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Foundation in the noble field of humanitarian service.
ONUOHA OKEREKE UKEH
Onuoha Ukeh, CCLP, versatile journalist, newspaper columnist and author, is a thoroughbred professional of many years standing. He is the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, The Sun Publishing Limited, Nigeria, publishers of Daily Sun, Saturday Sun, Sunday Sun, and Sporting Sun.
With a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from the Lagos State University, he has, in his three decades of journalism practice, occupied top editorial positions, such as Editor, The Post Express; Editor, Daily Sun and Editor, Saturday Sun, among others.
Widely travelled and a strategist, Ukeh is the author of the book, The Powers That Be: Thoughts and Reflections on People, Power and Politics; Co-author, Inside the Newsroom, God’s Field Marshals and Democracy of Our Land: The Story of Nigeria’s Fourth Republic.
He is a member of such professional organisations as the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) and the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), and had, outside journalism, served as National Director of Public Affairs (Nigeria), The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, among others.
In recognition of his invaluable contributions and services over the years, Ukeh had received various awards and honours, including Merit Award, Item Development Association (IDA); Osuzo Ndi-Igbo Dum award by Igbo World Union; Pillar of Support by Amaokwe Item Welfare Union (AIWU); Most Creative Media Expert of the Year 2019 by Impact Mission Initiative; Ezinwa, by Amaokwe Item Women Development Union; Most Outstanding Journalist of the Year 2019 by Cornell Entertainment & CMC Gladiators; Award of Excellence by Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos; Award of Honour by Maryhill Montessori School, Lagos and Mighty Pen Award by Item Development Association, Abuja chapter.
Outside journalim, Ukeh has certicates in Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He’s a Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP) by the Canada Institute of Traffic and Transportation.
Ukeh is happily married with three children.
MIKE AJIBOLA AWOYINFA
Mr. Mike Awoyinfa was born in July 23, 1952 in Tarkwa, Ghana. He was educated in the University of Lagos where he bagged a Second Class Upper degree in Mass Communication. He worked with the News Agency of Nigeria for a year before joining the Concord newspapers owned by the late Chief MKO Abiola.
Awoyinfa rose from a Reporter to become the pioneer Editor of The Weekend Concord in 1989. The revolution he brought to human interest journalism in Nigeria made the newspaper to become the highest circulating in Nigeria for over 10 years.
From Concord, he became the founding Managing Director and Editor-In-Chief of The Sun Publishing Limited in 2002, and managed it into roaring success editorially and business-wise for eight years until he retired. The remains a member of the newspaper’s Board of Directors.
Awoyinya teamed up with the late Mr. Dimgba Igwe to write corporate books and biographies, like “50 Nigeria’s Corporate Strategists”, “Nigerian Marketing Memoirs”, “Orji Kalu: Leadership Lessons from a Master Strategist”, “Mike Adenuga, Africa’s Business Guru” and a forthcoming book on Aliko Dangote. He is also the author of the book, “50 Nigeria’s Boardroom Leaders: Lessons on Corporate Strategy,” co-author of “50 World Editors: Conversations with Journalism Masters Around the World on Trends and Best Practices; Art of Features and many other corporate books and biographies.

CAROL NGOZI ANYAGWA
Dr. Carol Anyagwa is a Senior Lecturer in English Language at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She is a passionate researcher, lecturer and trainer with 10 years experience in different aspects of English Language and linguistics.
Anyagwa has taught English to both undergraduate and postgraduate students and has supervised several BA and MA theses. She currently also supervises five PhD theses either as first or second supervisor. She has many publications in reputable journals, both locally and internationally and has co-edited a collection of essays titled “Functional Approaches to Language and Literary Studies” published in 2021.
She has also co-authored two English language texts at different stages of their publication. At different points, she served as a resource person in Training-the-Trainer courses, essay competitions for staff of corporate organisations and refresher courses for teachers of English, among others. She has also contributed to community development as a mentor and women leader in her Isolo area of Lagos State.
Anyagwa had won award as the best female lecturer in the Department of English, University of Lagos.
OBINNA ONUGU KALU
Obinna Kalu holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from Abia State University, obtained in 1999. After attending the Nigerian Law School, he enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2001. He also holds LL.M (Common Law) degree obtained in 2011 from University of Ilorin and Executive Doctorate Degree obtained in 2014.
Kalu started his working career in 2001 as a Legal Counsel in the reputable law firm of Obasi Awa and Associates, based in Umuahia, Abia State. He left the law firm for his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme at the Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC), Benin City. Due to excellent performance, he was retained as Legal Officer by the organisation after his NYSC programme; and by dint of hard work he rose to the position of Programme Manager and Head of Justice Delivery Department.
Under the Access to Justice Programme of JDPC, he successfully defended numerous victims of various human rights abuses in various courts across Nigeria. He served as a member of Edo State Prison Monitoring Committee between 2004 and 2005.
Between 2006 and 2013, Kalu headed the legal and administrative departments of various corporate organisations and institutions. He was also an Associate Lecturer-in-Law at Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo.
He was appointed the General Counsel of The Sun Publishing Ltd., Nigeria in 2013. In that capacity, he currently heads the Company’s Legal Department. In 2016, his job schedule was expanded following his appointment as the Company Secretary. He is also an adjunct legal consultant to many corporate organizations within and outside Nigeria.
A Prolific Writer, Legal Icon, Corporate Manager, Researcher, and Current Affairs Analyst, Kalu has written numerous learned articles which have been widely published. He is the Author of the books, Bail Regime in Nigera; ICT Law and Ethics in Nigeria; and Sustainable Development and Multinational Oil Companies in Niger Delta: Legal Issues and Perspectives. He is currently involved in a global research on Achieving Sustainable Economic Development Through Corporate Social Responsibility.
He is a Fellow of the Chattered Institute of Administration, African Institute of Leadership and Manpower Development and member of many other professional bodies, such as College of Fellows (CIA), Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Global Doctorate Society, Institute of Corporate Administration, Nigerian Society of University Lawyers, Lawyers in the Media Forum and many others.
